Maybe some signs at trail heads explaining trail etiquette would be helpful? As an out-of-state rider, it’s surprising how many people here are unclear about who yields to who. I’ve heard of the recent controversy regarding trails, perhaps education on etiquette would help? I had a lady tell me today that I need a bell, and that she rides with a bell on MTB trails, which shocked me. I was stopped, off my bike, because I had yielded to other hikers, and had seen her dog, and was waiting for her and it, so it wasn’t like I came around a corner too fast. She was just being bossy and ignorant. But charging down a hill ringing a bell to get people to get out of her way is not only rude and dangerous, but clearly unethical. I hate to think of the negative perception that type of behavior creates for MTBers! Anyway, thanks for building and maintaining some beautiful trails!
