Jun 20, 2026 @ 7:29am (America/Los_Angeles) Jun 20, 2026 | Cleared 20 or so downed trees but there are still at least 10 left between priest lake and trapper creek campground. Some were too big for my little saw. All are passable though. | Ideal | view
Nov 16, 2025 @ 1:56pm (America/Boise) Nov 16, 2025 | 2 downed trees, getting a bit soft | Freeze/thaw Cycle | view
Sep 27, 2025 @ 5:26pm (America/Los_Angeles) Sep 27, 2025 | 5 trees down and a couple muddy sections to walk through. Many of the bridges have broken boards and holes but are still rideable. Needs to be brushed in places, but still worth the effort. | Unknown | view
Jul 12, 2025 @ 9:18am Jul 12, 2025 | Double track almost completely rideable between middle and north fork trails. Nice break from the slow pedaling | Dry | view
Jul 12, 2025 @ 9:18am Jul 12, 2025 | Middle is insanely slow. First few miles are super fun! | Ideal | view
May 29, 2025 @ 5:41am May 29, 2025 | Probably six or so areas with down trees within the first 1.5 miles starting from the red end. Also, going up I would say most of this trail is unrideable because it is super skinny, steep, and has plenty of loose rocks in it. Most of it would be rideable going down except for the down trees. | Dry | view
May 7, 2025 @ 9:31pm May 7, 2025 | Dry and cleared of trees and debris to 4700’, about 5 miles up. The brush isn’t bad at all, but handguards still help. Trail surface was perfect soft dirt and loam. | Ideal | view
Sep 28, 2024 @ 8:28pm Sep 28, 2024 | Overall in great shape. One tree down about 1/4 mi in (can ride around) and a couple of sloppy spots, but otherwise great. | Variable | view
Sep 2, 2024 @ 10:25pm Sep 2, 2024 | Amazing trail, not overly brushy. Tread is getting ruined by the horse people tho it’s a shame. | Dry | view
Aug 4, 2024 @ 5:02am Aug 4, 2024 | In the past week, trees have come down across the trail in nine locations. Two places on the rocky descent from the road and the rest in the forest before the final road. Otherwise, the trail is in good shape. | Dry | view
Jul 4, 2024 @ 9:35am Jul 4, 2024 | Some soggy spots that should dry up quickly in the upcoming heat wave. Trees have been cleared, and devil's club (which used to hang all over the trail). has been cut back. Make sure you have sealant in your tires in case the thorny branches are in the trail. Gorgeous part of North Idaho. | Variable | view
Jun 15, 2024 @ 9:15pm Jun 15, 2024 | just a heads up.to riders on this trail. It is incorrectly shown as a non motorized trail, however signage at the Trail head shows it as ok for 2 wheel motorized vehicles. | Unknown | view
Jun 14, 2024 @ 2:54am Jun 14, 2024 | ebike Pretty trail. Loop best done CW | Dry | view
May 24, 2024 @ 1:02pm May 24, 2024 | Snow Cover Partial | view
Jul 17, 2023 @ 7:18am Jul 17, 2023 | all clear, Thank you for keeping trails Clear and open for us to enjoy! | Dry | view
Jul 16, 2023 @ 7:52pm Jul 16, 2023 | All clear. THANK YOU to the good soul that cut out all of the downed trees and, particularly, the overgrowth. Rode great! | Dry | view
Aug 20, 2022 @ 5:10pm Aug 20, 2022 | Multiple trees down across trail, blocking trail. Possible to carry bike over. Creek with no bridge that must be forded. Some places with standing water on trail. Exposed roots. Large rocks on trail. | Variable | view
Aug 13, 2022 @ 9:21pm Aug 13, 2022 | Currently, the trail is not bike friendly if departing from Steven’s Lake Trailhead, off of the Lone trail. Lots of downed trees. Extremely overgrown, large deadfall everywhere, lots of land slides and rock debris. The first mile extremely steep, then there are many map errors where the trail may have existed. | Dry | view
Jul 3, 2022 @ 8:47am Jul 3, 2022 | About 8 trees down over the 8 miles, some posing minor obstacles to pick your way through, a couple a bit more of a pain in the arse. The trail is in great condition between the obstacles. | Dry | view
May 14, 2022 @ 6:09pm May 14, 2022 | Dry up to 4300’, 5 miles up. A few big trees but overall not bad! | Ideal | view
Apr 14, 2022 @ 2:04pm Apr 14, 2022 | Rumor has it that the portion of this trail over Lookout Peak ridge doesn't exist. Use "Windy Bill" instead, that's the black trail paralleling this one to the west. Hikers may still prefer Lookout Peak ridge since it's shorter. | Snow Covered | view
Sep 5, 2021 @ 10:39am Sep 5, 2021 | The first mile or so there are a ton of rocks. It's not an easy ride but the seven miles after that were awesome! | Dry | view
Jul 18, 2021 @ 5:34pm Jul 18, 2021 | 1 tree down that was easy to hop, but a little two big for is to saw. Brushy and dry but rolling pretty good otherwise. | Very Dry | view
Jul 18, 2021 @ 5:32pm Jul 18, 2021 | There were two downed trees on this section, our crew removed them. | Dry | view
Jul 13, 2021 @ 6:44am Jul 13, 2021 | As stated recently, no trees across the trail. There is some brush encroachment in places, but much if it is quite clear. | Ideal | view |
