Let it dry, alpine is muddy as hell right now. It’s been drier in winter. I’d skip this for a couple days and do a trail that drains better, like Lawler. Prevalent Mudview

Very nice soil conditions, a couple muddy patches that were more fun than disruptive. Some trail work in a certain sharp cornered ravine would be great. Idealview

The first 2 miles are completely snow covered and the next 1.5-2 miles are a mix of slush and mud slop, with standing water 5-6 inches deep in some places. Hard to say it was worth it at the moment. I’d give it a few warm days to drain out Prevalent Mudview

Ridden 3/1 in substantially more rain than was forecast. Overall trail ran well and was fun, though there was a lot of water in certain spots and some of the lower stretches as you descend from the tablelands toward the Office Bridge Portal were a little too muddy to be riding (in terms of trail protection) due to the unexpected volume of rain. I can only remember one meaningful log—a “decapitator” near the bottom as the previous report noted (haven’t heard the term but love it). Was our first time riding the trail and can’t wait to return in drier conditions. My guess is the vast majority of the trail would dry out quickly when it’s not raining and run fantastic. Wetview
