Hours spent in dangerous positions either entirely bushwhacking around or going over and under dozens of trees that have completely blocked the trail. I’m 32, in fairly good condition, comfortable climbing and jumping, and it was hazardous. I would not want anyone I love to take this trail in its current condition. Forest service trail crews are on an unofficial strike after last year’s budget cuts, so I was told not to expect this to be cleared unless by citizens with hand saws. There’s ~2 flights of stairs to cross over the railroad tracks, then large rocks and roots as you get closer to the swinging bridge. The trail is initially flat and wide, but then becomes harder to navigate, requiring hikers to either step up and over or go around obstacles | Dry | view | |||
