Markham Park is a 667-acre regional park in Sunrise, Broward County, Florida, situated along the western edge of the developed Fort Lauderdale area near the Everglades. The park supports a wide range of outdoor recreation, but its mountain bike trail system is one of its principal attractions. Approximately 14 miles of purpose-built mountain bike trails provide a surprisingly varied riding experience on generally flat South Florida terrain, with tight singletrack, sandy and hard-packed surfaces, technical features, rock gardens, berms, and short climbs and descents. The trail system accommodates a broad range of abilities, from beginners and adaptive riders to experienced and expert mountain bikers.

The Markham Park trail system consists of an interconnected network of predominantly singletrack trails with multiple difficulty levels and numerous options for linking trails into longer loops. Despite the park's minimal elevation, the trails use terrain, vegetation, technical features, turns, berms, and constructed obstacles to create varied riding. The system includes beginner-friendly riding as well as intermediate and advanced terrain, with technical sections and features providing additional challenges for experienced riders. An approximately 2-mile adaptive loop provides a wider, easier riding option intended for adaptive bikes and is also suitable for children and first-time mountain bikers.
The trail network is maintained and improved through volunteer efforts, with organized trail-building and maintenance activities supporting the system. Markham Park also hosts mountain bike races and other cycling events, including events that help fund continued trail construction and maintenance.

The mountain bike trailhead is located within Markham Park at 16001 W. State Road 84 in Sunrise. Riders must obtain a Broward County Mountain Bike Trail Access Card, complete the required waiver, and view the trail safety video before riding. A daily access pass and annual pass are available. The park also provides camping, restrooms and other recreational facilities, making it possible to combine a mountain bike ride with a longer visit to the park.
