Description:
This was the first time I have been on this trail since 2013 floods. The entry and exit points are quite different but you can still find the Quirk Creek Trail and it is in great shape past the river with a couple of exceptions where the 4X4s have been at it. At the south end, where you hit the T intersection and head west, there has been extensive logging and the road is in good shape. When you get to the single track, there has been very little traffic, so you have to pick your way past the cows, boulders and logs to get to the proper trail head. From there the trail was good, someone has removed large trees that have fallen. The final decent to the Elbow River still has some tricky washed out sections, but nothing unrideable. We were riding alone, no crowds and an empty parking lot. We even saw the wild horses!
