Jul 25, 2025 Kananaskis Fire Lookout Trail Report

The MTB ride southward from the Ranger Station to the Hydroline Trail (I think this section is a 'winter trail') is clear of deadfall and a great 'whoosh' down to Boulton Creek although perhaps a bit muddy in 1 or 2 sections due to the recent rains. At Boulton Creek, you will need to ford the stream but where the depth is minimal, and then you will proceed to gain a slight amount of elevation to terminate at the Hydroline Trail.
