Description:
Rode the trail CCW from shadow bay. Entire loop. About 90 trees down. Asked for permission to clear and was told the trail is closed. That said the Willamette site says trail is open only that the trailhead is closed. There are several trailheads. The only work happening currently is fire staging (minimal) for mopup operations north of Waldo. Those crews are nowhere near the trail. One guy came to chat with us as we stopped for a snack. He just said no camping but didn’t care or know anything about trails.

First ~ miles along north shore is clear and rideable, then trail becomes unrideable and unwalkable due to down trees and debris. view

Heartbreaking report... Neither trail is marked closed by the FOREST CIRCUS. There is an excess of 400 trees blocking the trail with most down... view
