Ride this trail counterclockwise Beautiful trail along the Waldo Lake. This trail starts out beginner for the first 3 or 4 miles (riding counterclockwise) then it turns into a mostly Blue trail with a few small sections of Black. It is a smooth experience except for a few notable short (circa ten foot) rock chutes (three or four in 26miles). The trail is worth braving the few sections you may need to walk. The climbs are short and relatively easy with the exception of two near the end. Take plenty of food and water andenjoy the views.

Watch out for mosquitoes in the early to mid summer.

Around 50 trees down in this section some very large and difficult to get over. Some snow still out there. Swarms of thick mosquitos.

Encountered three downed trees on west side of lake trail - but not difficult to go over or around. Beautiful day out there!

A little bit of windfall which I tried to help with clearing. A bit of tech, great views, and overall a funny occasionally punchy cross country...

It is ridiculous that this trail difficulty is rated green - it is a solid blue with some legit black bits. Apparently whomever put this trail and Twin Peaks trail on TF never rode them.

Did the 20 mile loop CC. Started good but quickly got into the mosquitos and must have crossed 20 downed trees. Bring lots of water.

Rode the loop yesterday - 2 trees down on the southeast section of the trail. otherwise clear. Only 4-6 mosquito bites.
