Here's a short route I put together which hits all of my favorite trails at Auburn. It'll be a big day, but should be a very fun day. If you park at the bottom of Culvert, this will allow for some sort of re-fuel and water mid-ride.

Really fun. I was much younger when it was first built, so now I take my ebike and ride it like I did back then.

Steep and fast but not technical, don't overheat the brakes

Trail Confluence Trail
Nice scenic double track trail with a couple of hip jumps and a couple gaps as well. There are some rocky sections but nothing crazy. Watch out for hikers.

Trail Culvert Trail
Lots of jumps, drops, berms, and rocky sections to break up the flow. This seems to be a very common trail to do shuttle runs on, and I can see why! Best trail in the area if you ask me.

Post 2021 fire, this trail is still just fine thanks to the work of FATRAC et al. Burnt trees here and there and the tunnel rut is a bit deeper but all in all just the same ‘ol Culvert

Trail Confluence Trail
Since the 2021 fire, the first half has been bulldozed. The left hip at the top still remains but it’s now officially double track for the first half.

Trail Manzanita trail
Pretty fun and narrow. Can be worked into a loop by climbing Stagecoach, then riding some pavement down Foresthill Drive to Canyon Drive.

Trail Manzanita trail
Pretty pedaly for my tastes but worth doing. Good tech practice for beginners.

The black tunnel is 10 seconds horror. I'm sure there's boatloads of snakes in there. Just don't stop.

Trail was open again this summer. A decently steep downhill trail. Nothing too technical except for a spot to get your pedals caught in the middle.

Trail Clementine Trail
Only a small section on singletrack. Most of this trail is dirt fire road.

This probably shouldn't be your first real trail ride. Didn't fall, but walked a bunch of the steeper sections!

Except for one steeper up and down hill, this trail is pretty mellow, expect to pedal a lot to keep the trail interesting. Definitely not a technical trail but very fun.

Trail Culvert Trail
This trail has it all. switchbacks, flow, drops, jumps, two up hills to get to it, banked turns, even a huge culvert you ride thru. The best trail in Auburn area.

Trail Rockys
Description says "very fast" that is a relative term. I guess you could say the first part of this trail is very fast but once you get to the rock garden, not so much I certainly don't ride it very fast. It is a great rock garden. Small rocks, big rocks, drops, narrow spots etc. See if you can ride without putting your foot down, I did and I'm 73 years old.

Trail Clementine Trail
