A figure 8 loop incorporating bull-A-Varde, Bull Run and Borderline. Borderline is more of a grade 4 trail.

Drive to the very end of Stratton St and park your car. Ride back up Stratton St, turn left on to Cottle Park Dr, left at Normandale Rd and left again where Normandale Rd meets Sweetaches Dr.

At the ending the start of OCR. Ride along OCR until you get to a farm gate. Bull-A-Varde ( the link trail for Bull Run) begins approximately 200 meters further on.

At the bottom of Bull Run turn up Hill Rd. Continue past the farm house. At the first WWII past the farm house take the first farm gate on the left that leads on to a grass farm track. Continue along this track until you reach a ridge.

The ridge has 4 exits - east up along the ridge, west up along the ridge, south down and south east along the farm track. Continue along the farm track. At the farm gate, continue along the farm track past the entrance to Bull-A-Varde and back to the first farm gate to came to. Borderline begins at this first farm gate.

Detailed Description
BBB Fig 8 is a 8 mile moderately popular intermediate route located near Lower Hutt. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 8 trails. This route climbs 1,548 ft with a max elevation of 1,209 ft then descends -1,548 ft.

Pretty overgrown, as an intermediate rider it was my first time down this trail, it's much steeper, narrower and rockier than I realised.

Volunteers are doing an amazing job fixing parts of the track, especially the berms at the end of the track. It will still be slick when wet though.
