Moab Brand ride that gets pretty much everything. Definitely GPS needed, as this route loops back on itself quite a bit to get everything in the system. This place has some great trails, but the chunkier trails such as Deadmans, Longbranch, and Circle O definitely wear you out after a while. You need some pretty advanced riding skills to clean everything in this route, but this is a great introduction to long Moab rides. Woohoo

I really enjoyed this one. It's the only trail in the Bar M area where you can maintain 20+ mph for quite a while. There is really no need to get on the pedals until you get towards the end. Don't need the brakes often either. There's a nice drop near the beginning (optional) and some nice little kickers here and there for bonus points. There are a few exposed turns that you definitely don't want to flub which is probably the reason for the blue rating and a few relatively short rocky traverses. Otherwise, there isn't really any tech until it's time to climb out back to the bike path.

You spend a lot of time pedaling on the way up. You spend a lot of time pedaling across. And then you spend a lot of time pedaling on the "descent." How I ended up at a lower elevation than where I started is a mystery to me. There is a fun and fast little descent at the end, but the juice certainly wasn't worth the squeeze. If techy climbing is your jam, you'll probably enjoy this one. This would be a solid blue trail where I live. I'm not a great tech climber or particularly fit, but I was able to clear everything. I can't recall and black diamond features on the very brief descending parts either.

This is the fastest and most flowy trail in Moab Brands. Super fun to ride and easily lapable. Very high speed, the climb towards the end is a great challenge to power up. Great trail.

Great trail to warmup on! All of it is doable by everyone who rides it. Great for beginners, and even experienced riders will have fun by stepping on the gas.

This trail is lots of fun! Rode it counter clockwise, definitely a blue trail for sure, maybe one or two features that’re black. But, 98% blue. I was able to clean it 1st try, but lots of fun. It’s a great challenge for an intermediate rider and I’d happily do this trail again.

Meh, skip this one. I thought it would be pretty good considering it’s one-way. Nope, nothing here worth noting. Just a quick little downhill followed by a climb.

Fun to use as a loop with lazy, mildly technical in some places but 90 percent is avoidable, optional jumps and short but tough climbs make this a fun short trail.

Loved this little trail. Good for early morning rides, in addition with ez makes a nice little loop. I would definitely place it more towards intermediate with many unavoidable drops and surprisingly techy climbs. Beginners may have a hard time riding the entire trail in one go

Trail Bar M Loop
The Moab Brands area A.K.A., (Bar-M) is a great place for families with varying skill levels with a number of different trails to choose from. The area is very user-friendly and has trail maps posted at each trailhead. Comprising over thirty (30) miles of intersecting singletrack, which include flat trails suitable for children and towing toddlers to intermediate and black diamond trails to challenge even the most advanced riders.

Additionally, riders can enjoy great views of Arches and the Moab Canyon. When your ride is complete, enjoy an easy pedal down the paved Moab Bike path back to town.

Rode this yesterday, should be noted that this trail is marked counter clockwise only. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the sign at first and started out the wrong direction. Ultimately, I didn't like the flow and some technical climbs I couldn't clean clockwise so I went back, saw the sign and found it flowed much better counter clockwise as marked. much easier coming down some of the more technical areas than climbing.

Not a Blue by any measure. Maybe a black blue. Certainly moe challenging than Bar-B. I am an intermediate to advanced rider - ridden most of the areas in Moab and 90% of Bar M.
Rock step ups, armor, narrow passages up and down, lengthy uphill rock sections. What I also question is the direction. Clockwise ending down Maverick maybe a lot more satisfying.

Rock step ups, armor, narrow passages up and down, lengthy uphill rock sections. What I also question is the direction. Clockwise ending down Maverick maybe a lot more satisfying.

I would say that this trail is awesome if you’re on you’re way out of town in need of a ride, but it’s just awesome, period! Like others have said, slow amen technical is how most will ride it but it never goes too hard on the punchy climbs or difficult, tight corners. If i could choose any trail to ride every day after work, it would be this one.

Awesome trail. All down hill and a great one to hit after Rusty Spur. Can be technical in some spots but super fun and well worth the climb back up. Some ppl may not enjoy the steep side hill and because of this I would rate this trial advance intermediate pushing black.

Trail Longbranch
This is probably the most technically demanding trail in Bar-M. Has some fun rock rolls, steps, and exposure. Rode it right after Mag-7, wouldn’t recommend because your legs are already tired. If you like some slow tech, steep slickrock climbs, and focus-demanding rock rolls, this is a great trail to hit in Bar-M. Don’t ride it if you aren’t a very good technical rider though, it’s pretty chunky. Lovin these trails!

Super fun trail! Ride it either way and you’ll have some fun if you have the technical ability and the lungs. Rode it up once, was a fun challenge. Rode it down once, and it was fun fun fun fun fun. I’m a skilled 12 yr old, and had no trouble with it. I imagine most people with good technical ability would have no issues as well. Skip it if you don’t like tech, but it’s a must-do if you like some slow tech!

Fun trail! If you like bumpy slickrock, you’ll love this trail. A few people said this has no flow, but you can make it have flow if you really try. Even if you can’t make it have flow, that doesn’t mean it’s still not an amazing trail. It’s a challenge, and goes on for a little bit longer than the average rider would like, but no complaints. Great trail, don’t leave bad comments just because you can’t ride the trail.

Circle O is an experience. I come from Redwood Trees and the Pacific Ocean. There is nothing like this out there. To ride almost five miles with no dirt, just solid rock under your tires, is pretty cool. And the expanse of rock in front of you is something to behold. It's not the best thing I've ever ridden, but having ridden it I feel like I've expanded my bike story. We capped it off with Lazy, and the smile at the end of this route was grande.

I really dig this trail...slow tech climbs over cap and chunk rock. Steep switchbacks...Off camber spicy chunk on the down. Good flow transition between the DH parts. Just a good rowdy trail. Short fast and fun...

I enjoyed this for the first 10min because it was unique terrain (started at the north side) but after that I was counting down to when I could hop back on the Bar M trail - what a relief once I did. No flow and lots of bumps even for my dual suspension

This trail's low fun factor is not due to the roughness, but rather the fact that it's very mundane. It's kinda fun for the first mile in that same novel way that Slickrock is, but then it just becomes mile after mile of "okay I want something else now." Slickrock has a challenge aspect that keeps it interesting for like 5-6 miles but there's just not enough here to keep it engaging.

I liked this a bit more than Deadman’s Ridge. There are a few sections that seem impossible to ride until you are right on top of them, and the line is revealed like a magic trick. There is also a little bit of exposure in a few spots, which adds some spice. A really well built trail.

Trail Bar B
This is an intermediate trail with a black diamond section that feels like riding up or down a dry cascade. The cascade section is as hard as anything found on Deadman’s or Longbranch. I rode it with 4 other advanced riders and nobody cleaned the cascade first time, only 2 of us could get it on the 2nd attempt.

Fun singletrack riding, some technical sections that beginners may struggle with, but with low consequences (ie. No cliffs, big drops). Good warm up and taste of the area, the trail system does list this as a beginner/intermediate trail, not a straight up beginner trail.

Don’t believe Drfeelnotsogood42 . A fun trail that flows nicely if your up to the tech level. A solid intermediate rider will do well and enjoy it. I was surprised how much I liked this trail.

If it weren’t for the view of Arches Nat’l Park and the awesome feeling of being in the middle of the moon surface, this trail would have little to recommend it. It’s a really bumpy ride, and not in a fun way. Still, we can all use practice diving into crevices and pulling out (dozens and dozens of times. Sigh)

Very fun swoopy trail with a slightly landscaped look - lots of flowers in late April. One section has such regular left-right turns it feels like you're slaloming.

Great trail, especially if you are done for day and heading into town. Smooth and speedy, for the most part. In late April, the intense red rocks, dark green plants, and purple flowers were other-worldly.

Fun trail that is bumpier than Slick Rick, but no problem unless you are on grandma's rigid bike. All rock, it is a pleasure to romp around on because it is probably unlike anything you have at home.

Wow, whole lot of hate for one of Moab's classic trails. Circle O is all slickrock riding with great views into Arches National Park. It would be bumpy on a rigid bike - but if you have suspension it's fine, and fun. And, it's only a 20 minute loop - if you don't like it, there's plenty of time left to ride other trails in the area.

The trail is simply not fun. It’s all rock of which is bumpy the entire time. No flow, nothing smooth, not technical, it constantly rattles you. It has many ditches shaped like a “V”, the first few are okay but then they become a chore to cross. The trail line has been accurately described by JamesPBlaw in the previous comment. I would never do this trail again and I do not recommend it.

Trail has two sections, with two different characters. The east side is easier, clearly an intermediate trail. West side is technical - similar to Long Branch and Deadman's.

I know, we try to designate difficulty according to what the local association has set it as. Also, we try to make it relative to the trail system. For a lot of people riding Brand Trails its probably a bit borderline. I'll change it to blue.
