High Point

This day in the mountains starts with some gravel road riding to get to a new trailhead that the FS has placed at the end of the recently rerouted Ontario Creek road. Follow the new trail for a quarter mile and hang a left at the Bison Mountain Trail. You will go through the old parking area for Trail 362 and continue upward on old twotrack. This section is steep and has some confusing crossroads - the Trailforks App will help guide you. Once on the CDT, the major climbing is over and and one can just ride and take in the beauty of this special place. Make sure and take a right on Trail 328 for the long downhill through Blackfoot Meadows and back to the car.
