This is the traditional race loop for the XC day of the Capitol Forest Classic and is a great introduction to what the Forest has to offer. Out of the Fall Creek TH, climb up the Wedekind Trail to Crestline. Take Crestline up to the Peak, then descend down GL6.

About 5-7 big trees have been uprooted between the trailhead near Greenline and the first intersection with C Line road. You can walk around all of them but it makes it very difficult to get in a groove in this section. After that the C Line Road, the trail has patches of wet loam or mud.
