Built 14 grade reversals on the quarter-mile steep section to improve drainage, tread, and flow, plus about 1000 feet of tread work to repair ruts. 4/10/26, 4/11/26 (SIMBA Trail Work Day with 17 volunteers), and 4/14/26.

SIMBA-BLM Earth Day volunteer trail work day 4/20/2024: 26 volunteers installed new trail signs on 37 posts, put in 3 new posts, and did trail work/rehab in 4 locations. Discovery Hill, Podcast, Hillside, Disco Flyer, Lewis and Clark (S), and Lewis and Clark (N) Trails.

Constructed 540-foot singletrack re-route around the "Trench of Doom." SIMBA-BLM Earth Day Discovery Hill Trail project 4/22/23, 19 volunteers. Reclamation of the Trench will start this Spring.

Ride/hike/run only when frozen for the next couple weeks until things dry out. The first mile is snow-free and starting to dry out, but it's in fairly rough shape. Beyond that, expect snow on anything even slightly north-facing. Please do not use this trail when muddy! reporter Prevalent Mudview

North slopes are mostly snow capped, south slopes are mostly dry everything else is a muddy mess. Give it time. Prevalent Mudview

Most of the trail is incredibly icy, and not likely to improve until melt-out. Please stay off the Disco trails during thawing conditions these next few weeks. Don't let your rut be the rut that lasts all summer! reporter Icyview
