Trail Adam's Run
You're responding to a small part of a comment that has already been discussed, now ostensibly to lecture me on what a filter is. And you have the temerity to say "micro" semantics, ironically while arguing with a stranger about a feature they didn't mention and whether it's a feature or a filter. Just for my due diligence, I did search "filter MTB". Sadly I did not find any supporting articles for your definition, but plenty of references to filters being, you guessed it!, things that filter riders before they enter a trail.

At the end of the day, definitions/sementics/bacon/Loco/etc aside, if you think there is a real problem with it, it's probably best to reach out to the actual bike club directly through whatever channel that is. I don't think they are very active on here, judging by how the trail reports never get approved and whatnot.
Mayne put a tiny little lip infront of the ledge to pop-up onto it with....and to really slam the bikes who don't make it. LOL

That's not a filter, mate, the same way the front door isn't "just inside and down the steps" on a house. You'll find Adams is my most ridden this trail, and I remarked that I find it great in many ways.
If you are really horny for artificial rock ledges, that's fine — just say that instead of strawmen like "you want it to be easier" and "the filter is just a few hundred feet into the trail".

Trail Adam's Run
You are respectfully just incorrect about filters, see other trails, such as 'Skin and Bones' at Dagmar, they have 5 independent and different filters in a row on the trail that extend down the beginning of the trail. Filters can also be anywhere on a trail before a large feature or harder section, for example the filter that is half way down Sweet Street at the Hydrocut...
Your comment was that there should be a drop at the start of Adam's Run to filter riders. The drop is no more than 10/15 seconds into the trail, for a trail that takes an average 13+ minutes to complete, I would say the drop is at the start of the trail, and there is no option to ride around it. You can argue your micro semantics that it is not a filter if you want..

Trail Adam's Run
"Adam's has it all," but this isn't necessarily a good thing. Flowy descents, some great climbing, and well crafted drops are all there. But there's also the entry obstacle that accomplishes nothing but potentially damaging your bike, a bunch of one meter monolith rocks to jump your bike over in the middle of climbs, and a few other flow killers.
Adam's is a great trail, but I can't help but feel like it would be better with less identities.

Trail Adam's Run
It's there as a filter, if you can't ride over it, a second thought should be taken about riding the trail..
It's abrupt and yeah I've watched people whale their bikes off of it, but it does serve a purpose.

Trail Adam's Run
In fact it's too bad more trails don't have proper filters. Too often do I run into folks sliding or walking down trails that they shouldn't be on.
Perhaps it's not all the riders fault, as sometimes there is no warning at the start of a trail. Doubly so if the beginning of it is easy, with the hard parts further down.

Trail Adam's Run
I think you'll find that's my point; more trails should have *proper* filters, in this case this trail. Some of the other Hydrocut runs have very well constructed entry filters.

What would be a proper filter, something easier? :/
I've seen lots of people ram there bikes into it but have also seen lots get up and over it with no problems.
Come up and ride Porcupine Ridge. This size rock ledge is a regular feature.

No, a filter is just selection criteria for the trail. A drop feature would likely be more appropriate to filter rides who can't deal with the multiple mandatory features ..?
Regardless, you seem to be hyper focusing on a tiny part of my comment! It's not a difficult filter, don't project.

Trail Adam's Run
Not sure when the last time you rode Adam’s Run but there is a mandatory drop filter and there has been for a few years.. after the rock ledge it goes right into a rock garden with a mandatory drop..

A great trail. Some dumb no flow rock areas are added to destroy your flow and chainring

Trail Stinky Girl
No it has not. Wild Turkey is a short connecting Kids Trail that compromises the first half of Stinky Girl then cuts across to the second half of The Bride.
It cuts out the difficult sections of Stinky Girl and The Bride that way.

I'll reiterate for my part that the filter is just a small flaw in what I consider a great trail that I frequently ride.
