Classic McCall area ride that can be ridden either direction and features great scenery throughout. Counterclockwise is recommended as it avoids a continuous climb up to Loon Lake from the Secesh River.

Like most trails in the area, portions of this route are prone to down trees. You can check the current maintenance status here: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/StoryMapBasic/index.html?appid=772b621492c4487fa93ed7e038d3a53a

Help in the collaborative effort of maintaining area trails by taking the time to remove small trees and debris from the trail. Carry a portable brush saw for extra credit.

You can visit the bomber on the southeast side of the lake via a short (~1 mile) spur trail. This trail sees little maintenance, is prone to down trees, and is more technically demanding. Reaching the bomber remains typically isn't possible until mid summer or later after the Loon Lake water level drops.
