Microclimate achieved notoriety when it was featured in the World Enduro Series event in Whistler back in 2014, the trail, built through a beautiful mature forest, is steep, rough and awesome. The climb up is quite challenging on steep gravel access roads on Blackcomb mountain, in the summer heat it can be a killer. A variation or a great second lap (with slightly less climbing) is to ride Hey Bud, which has recently been re-worked and is arguably slightly easier than Microclimate if you follow the new routing.

Micro Climate AMS is a 5 mile popular expert route located near Whistler British Columbia. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a extreme overall physical rating. This route includes 9 trails. This route climbs 1,473 ft with a max elevation of 3,798 ft then descends -1,471 ft.
