This has a bit of everything Nelson has to offer. Starts by climbing to the top of Codgers Bike park, easing in with "Turners" which is a flow/jump trail, then a small climb up "Take me to your leader", to get to the top of "Hotbox" which is a fun grade 4 single trail, dropping you into the Maitai Valley.

Then after crossing the river over the bridge, it is a 10min road ride to get to Sharlands were you will have a 60min climb to get to Aorere. "Aorere" is a grade 5 which can get interesting in the wet, but very manageable in the dry.

This drops you back into the valley where you have to cross the river again (go over the ford for a faster route but you will get wet feet) and head back up to the top of Codgers bike park, via "Golf Course Trail into Take me to Your Leader". Last pinch climb up "Firball Climb" taking in the view of the bay before you drop down Firball, which is an easy grade 3/4 jumps and berm trail to the finish.
