This is my personal favorite route through Frick Park which minimizes the boring double track climbs back to the top. Start at Iron Gate and ride to Concrete Block (just after the wooden drop), ride Concrete Block until it exits to Firelane Ext. Ride Roller Coaster back to Firelane Ext. Climb up Firelane Ext and ride Roller Coaster to IMBA trail all the way up and out to Falls Ravine. Take Bench Trail up to Horse Trough. Ride Horse Trough until you exit to Riverview Trail. Turn left and enter Homeless Camp on the right and ride that back to Iron Gate. Rip Iron Gate to the bottom of the park.

You can hit 276, Dinky Bridge, and the slags now or you can climb back up Falls Ravine to ride Bradema.

Trail Iron Gate
Look I'm all for shared trails, but really wish we could just make this one trail a dedicated bike/dh only trail at this point. Yes riders should check their speeds and be aware of their surroundings, but who are we kidding this is a biking trail. Its not a good hiking trail. I mean you have large man-made berms, drops, and some jumps down the whole thing. That should be a sign to hikers. There are plenty of other better trails to hike. Stop getting mad at me when I ride down this. It'd be safer for everyone.

This may be my new favorite trail! You can go very fast and the flow is perfect. Take it easy your first time going down so you can get a feel for it first. All the jumps and drops are very doable for an intermediate rider. If you’re a beginner, i would master 276 and a few other blue trails before giving this a go.

Fun trail! Just an FYI, when you get to the flow section, be careful going around the large berm. The berm is good but coming out of it, there is a tree and a large root on your right. I went over the bars today while carrying a lot of speed out of it after catching that root. I hope the trail builders carry the berm a little farther around to help avoid that.

Line choice is key to getting through this smoothly. Fun rock jump in the middle if you keep your speed up!

Trail Iron Gate
A downhill trail in the middle of the city with both tech and flow. Avoid until you can clear all the blue trails in the area, as people like to go fast down this one.

Trail Iron Gate
Possibly the best decent in Greater Pittsburgh area. Beware of uphill hikers, and check your speed.

Not very easy to ride though, have to climb over a bunch of rubble.

Trail Trough Trail
Surprisingly one of my favorite trails in the park. It's not as dramatic or steep like Iron Gate since it hugs the hill more closely, but has nice views, flows quite well, and traverses a large swath of the park over varied terrain.

Favorite trail in the area. Great flow, huge descent, very scenic and easy to connect to other trails.

A 420ft descent with big berms, drops , and rollers. Doesn’t get much better
