Honestly one of the most fun trails to bomb in Bentonville, needs A bit of work to restore it to the absolute screamer that it once was though

Only 1 10ft section that would be reason trail is rated a black trail. Worth riding either way.

Don't waste your time up here. Ride Jesse's last stand and the all-american jump line, then ride the gravel path to Medieval, etc.

Trail Fire Line
A great place to practice some jumps. Pro tip if you wanna do some sessioning without having to bike all the way back from the bottom: you can run through the first five(ish) jumps and there is a offshoot trail to the left that leads to the fire road which you can take back to the top. The offshoot trail is right after the three jumps in a row.

Adds a tiny bit of extra pedaling to the loop, but if you’re going CCW it sets you up a lot better for the first downhill stretch on the loop.

I think the problem with the first comments complaining about the flow is the direction of the ride... I've found it's SUPER flowy if you start Traverse Loop from Beau Terre Trailhead, ride it COUNTER-CLOCKWISE (stay east to the hub, stay west back to Beau Terre), enjoy the Hub and gravity trails in the middle of the loop then return back to Beau Terre. Avoid Northern Traverse if you don't want to climb.

Trail Down Under
A microcosm of Tunnel Vision. Test ride this to see if you want the bigger version. You’re either going up or going down. Of course the descents are fun, but the climbs are pretty brutal and they add up fast. As with TV, I wish the trail builders had added in more pitch moderation in spots to give the trail more variety and to be less of a climb-fest. As is, plan on riding when the temperatures aren’t so high or when you’re in better shape! Last, confirmation of counterclockwise direction.

I vehemently disagree, but I'm not surprised at all by the negative comments. I felt the same way the first few times I rode the Traverse Loop, because it's so much different than the other trails in the area, and a lot of trails in other places as well. It's also in stark contrast to the "gravity lines" that are also a part of the system that all depart from the central "hubs." Those are much closer to "flow trail" builds, while the loop proper, is the opposite.

It was built with the intent to be more narrow and natural, like some old school Colorado "hand cut jank," that forces riders to make their own flow so you can't just mindlessly ride the trail.

I've grown to absolutely love it as an alternative to the other trails in the area that are wider, machine cut, and have limited technical challenges. This loop has a few areas that are just technical enough to keep you on your toes, and force you to pick good lines. Yes, it's different, and I think it has to "grow on you" in some regards, which is the same sentiment that many other locals would express as well.

Nice trail but too many loose rocks on trail. And I just really dislike wasting descents on back & forth switchbacks. Total waste of previous climb.

Worst trail ever. Should be called "Flow Killer". I don't think I've ever ridden 6.5 miles with less flow! Or ever had SO much climbing completely wasted on too-tigh switchback descents. Trail is latgely covered in loose, spherical rocks that range from golfball to softball size. Most switchbacks are way too sharp and often those turns are full of rocks (like several layers deep).

Should be a unidirectional trail—that is, DH only. Was possibly the best trail in BVille when it debuted; however, it eventually became very rocky so traction isn’t great, so bombing is not what it could be and once was. Need one of the dozens of BVille trail crews for a day or two, or some forced labor during the nearby school’s recess for a month, to clear the rocks and restore Tristan’s glory!

Mostly a flowy trail with good jumping opportunities. The drop at the beginning is intimidating but rollable. About 3/4 of the way down it turns into a gnarly rock garden. There’s a return trail just after the 3rd bridge if you want to avoid the rock garden and give the fun stuff another go. Honestly, I’d rate the rock garden a black.

Due to a detour on Tunnel Vision I had to ride this trail South to North. I highly recommend it (it would likely be fun but more of a slog the other way). One of the hidden gems within the system for sure!!! Tons of flow but easier grades (you can haul and pedal at the same time) and perfect corners and berms. I also think an owl lives on the trail. I saw one and then a few hours later my wife did at the same spot.

Trail Land Line
The top section of this trail that extends to the Kingsdale complex is actually a part of Tunnel Vision (the whole Tunnel Vision loop isn’t on here b/c it’s not officially open to the public yet)
Landline begins on the west side of Chelsea.

This trail is great! Jumps for days all very well built. A great jump progression trail.

Its paved, but it's also a little twisty. Fun if you are going to a different trailhead... Just another paved path really.

Trail Fire Line
Top of Fireline closed for trail work. Disappointed, but I’m sure it’ll be worth it.

This is NOT a black Diamond trail. Blue trail at max.

Trail Medusa
Agreed, I hit this wet with my son. No problem climbing or features. There is one little rocky section but this is so far away from a black. From the naming a color rating I was expecting more. Please re-designate. Even having a name like Medusa you'd think you were info for something.

Trail Fire Line
My favorite trail in Northwest Arkansas. Starting at the hub and riding downhill, Fire Line has amazing flow.
