This is a traverse trail, it wraps around the hill. It is NOT A BLACK DIAMOND TRAIL. It's easy as pie. It is a beautiful trail with manzanita tunnels and great views, but it is not exciting. If you want an exciting way to get to the trail junction at the end, hike a bike up Ballarat Lookout and come down Upper. As a short loop, you can go up Ballarat, down upper, and ride back on 1-4
