mtb There are about 7-8 trees down on the way down 1513. The main creek crossing is still flowing plenty of water, but the two smaller streams closer to the east fork trail junction have very little flow. Idealview

mtb Trail is fully melted out and clear of all deadfall. The descent off the top down to the first creek gets pretty brushy so ride with caution. All 3 creeks are still flowing. Idealview

mtb MTB Missoula Sawyer team attempted to finish clearing 1513 and was mostly successful in reopening this trail from 2 years of blowdown. Unfortunately, this trail is not yet ready to ride as the upper 1/3 is still covered in deep snowpack. Once the snow melts there will likely be more deadfall on the trail that we couldn’t access.

mtb Major progress was made Saturday, June 18th 2022 toward rescuing the 1513 trail from the exceptional downfall of the past two winters. A majority of the trees were cut out by a small team of highly motivated 1513 enthusiasts who hiked in with large chainsaws and plenty of snacks. The supervisory K9 on site approved of the work carried out, stating that the team members were a credit to the human mountain biking community. More saw work is planned for the coming weekend for 1513 and the surrounding trail system. Otherwise, trail conditions on 1513 are outstanding. Also, an exceptional amount of snow was observed on Sheep Mountain. The condition of the associated trail is unknown but will be investigated this coming weekend. Idealview

mtb Massive blow down this year. MTB Missoula sawyers only made it about halfway through. Not sure if it will be fully cut out this year, but the standard Sheep to East Fork loop is pretty much clear and should be fully so by 6/29 reporter Idealview

mtb Trail is in great shape. I cleared a few smaller trees with a handsaw. There was one tree that was too big for me to cut. It's about 10 inches in diameter and near the halfway point of the trail. The location is 46.967121, -113.810319. reporter Idealview

mtb Real good dirt right now, but a bit brushy. One tree is down about halfway on the descent, but it's right after a tight switchback so there's minimal risk of hitting it at speed. Couple trees down on the climb out, we removed one but couldn't get the others without a saw. Idealview

mtb Entire downhill from sheep mountain trail is clear of trees but there's a handful down on the uphill. We cut out 4 or 5 and left 4 or 5 that could be cut with a handsaw.
