Clockwise has a fun decent at the beginning with a longer gradual climb out in the middle, a fun short flow through the pines and a fairly level finish.
Counterclockwise starts fairly flat with a longish gradual drop and a fairly long step climb out.
I prefer clockwise but I switch it up occasionally.
