Desde la cabaña de Ardonés el sendero se adentra al barranco por estrechos pasos a modo de balcón en las laderas de la montaña para alcanzar un terreno gisáceo y quebradizo por el que hay que descender hasta cruzar el barranco. Nos encontramos en un terreno con un desnivel pronunciado que demanda habilidad para fluir por el trazado.

En su recorrido hay tramos que resultan peligrosos y expuestos por su estado dado a la naturaleza de la tierra de esta zona.

Esta bajada es parte de la Ruta 13 La Mina.
