Ridden in either direction, this new trail mostly contours along a north-facing aspect. Find the eastern end of it at the saddle between the "Twin Peaks;" the western end at the high point of Jackson Ridge Trail. From the western end, atop Jackson Ridge, Atsahu ascends slightly before starting down a new twisty singletrack to the upper Norling Creek road. Turn right, uphill, on Norling road, then keep left at an unmarked fork, soon passing the top of the Shade Creek hiker trail on your left.
Following signs, still on Atsahu, continue on a non-motorized old forest two-track to a signed crossing of "Arrowhead Pass" trail, where Atsahu becomes singletrack again. As you traverse this shady slope, the narrow tread and tight handlebar clearance between trees keeps it interesting all the way to the Twin Peaks trail, which is met at the saddle between the two summits.
