Built during the Great Depression, Baldwin Drive is an abandoned road running the length of West Rock Ridge State Park. The once paved surface is now cracked and crumbling with weeds growing through, and now provides a scenic path for mountain bikers, cyclocrossers, and even adventurous roadies. Apart from serving as an access road for other trails in the area, the unique, isolated atmosphere makes this ride well-worth the extra effort.

Access Info

Access the southern end at the main entrance to West Rock Ridge State Park. Come in the driveway past the unattended guardhouse and take an immediate right. Go over or around the gate blocking cars from the road.
