      6. I would likely bring my ebike next time. Not bc of the climbing (insanely manageable climbing here actually) but rather for the speed to make these trails more fun. dont get me wrong, they're great, just not quite fast enough.

      4. Many of the trails were described as "fast" "flowy" "machine built" - perhaps for western PA but I would not describe these trails in this way at all. Sure, they are a bit more flowy and purpose built than most of the other riding in the area but they are 100% classic XC trails with some flow mixed in there on occassion. BearSkull likely has the most potential to become a true DH flow trail but the others had way too much pedaling.

      5. Im really hoping this new funding will actually deliver some true machine built trails in the area with drops, solid berms and other features. These trails borderline felt like riding multipurpose trails similar to others in the area.

      Here's my general take of the Clay Mine trail system after riding it for the first time:

      1. Super awesome to see more singltrack in the area. It's long overdue and exciting with the new funding on its way as well.

      2. The accessibility and closed loop trail system is probably one of the best parts of this trail system and what this area was desperately missing.

      3. This system is in desperate need of a true blue or black trail. everything is green or very easy blues IMO.
