Berm City Details
This trail is made up of parts of an existing security patrol route that was first built during the Manhattan Project era. It eventually became overgrown through disuse and lack of maintenance, but it's been rehabilitated in the last couple of years and is a great ride for those looking to do something moderate on the edge of town. Climbs are significant in terms of altitude change, but not crazy steep or technical. Traffic flows both directions on this trail, but visibility is pretty good in most places so it's both reasonably safe and a lot of fun to ride fast on.
Recently, the trail has been fixed up to include many berms. Many of the berms hold up really well, but several turn to sand pretty quick without rain, so watch out.
Access is from Non-Technical Perimeter trail on the south end, or from Mitchell Trail on the north end.
