This road from the power pylons down to the bottom has been resurfaced with loose gravel. would let this gravel settle over winter 2022 before revisiting. from the pylons up to the top is the same old goodness. posted 16/4/22

Be aware the peak of Boulder Hill is closed for lambing annually around August/October and the continuation along Puke Ariki is likewise. In 2020 the closed dates are 1 August - 23 October. You may find the first sign at Boulder Hill after climbing 400m.
