The east side of the Cabra loop is much less popular than the west side, and for good reason. While the west side is mostly rideable uphill and a blast as a descent, the east side is definitely a DH specific outing. nnHowever poor routing choices, soft soil, and erosion over the years have turned the trail into a series of deep ruts in powdery tuff gravel that, while rideable in most places, aren't particularly pleasant. nnFor the best experience, hang a left about 3/4 mile down the descent and finish on Pajarito://www.trailforks.com/trails/pajarito/]Pajarito[/L] (unrelated to the ski area or Pajarito://www.trailforks.com/trails/pajarito-canyon/]Pajarito Canyon[/L]) trail. This offers some fun tech along with faster sections and is all rideable/not 2 foot deep ruts in sand. nnTo avoid the steep/rutted climb at the lower Pajarito://www.trailforks.com/trails/pajarito/]Pajarito[/L]/Cabra intersection, one can head east on non-technical singletrack to rejoin the Rendijas://www.trailforks.com/trails/rendija-canyon-trail/]Rendija Canyon trail[/L], if desired.

Carbs is very dry and unrideable in some sectors due to a very high quantity of marble sized rocks. I do not recommend.
