This trail, connecting Boott Spur with Lakes of the Cluds Hut, is named for ledges on Boott Spur that resemble a kneeling camel when seen against the skyline. This is the right-hand trail of the two that diverges right (east) from Crawford Path 0.2mi. northeast of Lakes of the Clouds Hut (Tuckerman Crossover is the other trail that diverges here). Camel Trail ascends easy grassy slopes, crosses the old location of Crawford Path, and continues in a practically straight line across the ledges that form the camel, passes under the camel's nose, and joins Davis Path about 250 yd. northwest of Lawn Cutoff.
