Ride your way up to Watts Rock, with a short side trip to a historic Water Wheel. It's a slow grind to the top, but you'll be rewarded with an amazing view. On a clear day, you'll see The Remarkables, Lake Dunstan, and Nevis Valley.

Access Info

You can park at Bannockburn. Start your ride to Schoolhouse Road, then on to Quartzville Road. You'll see a signpost to Carricktown. Follow the track all the way to Watts Rock. You can either ride back the same way, or make a loop back through Nevis Road to Bannockburn.

      Rode UP today to Dufflers saddle (Nevis Rd) on e-bike, then cruised down. Wouldnt recommend without motor to help you - it's steep and VERY rocky in places. Used 70% battery just to reach the top, but nothing coming down. Great ride overall and as others have said, amazing views!!

      A brilliant ride especially if driving up the Nevis road to the top and beginning there, if you don’t want 1200m of climb first, that is. A great traverse across the ridge line with amazing views the whole way down to Bannockburn from there. Lots of variety, hits and half a dozen creek crossings to bomb through! Views are a highlight but the ride is lots of fun for downhillers too.
