Used to be one of my favorites but has not really been touched in years. Its a fun downhill but would be way more fun if a bit of work was done on it to bench cut the rooty sidehill stuff, fix up the berms and smooth out some of the stream beds. There is a reason the stuff on the other side is rated 100. This gets no love.

The 97 photos attached to this version of "Catamount" appear to be a bike park located no where near MRR.

From the beautiful start point by Chase Brook (there are places to sit by the brook) to a pretty nice view at the end / start of Techie this is a nice uphill which is very solidly intermediate in my opinion. Most of it isn't too hard but there are actually enough fun roots and rocks going up that it isn't boring. If you go faster downhill it's a blast. It's a great compromise if you are riding with someone who wants to go slower or doesn't want something super technical - and you can always extend it with Techie, then Ridgie like recommended. The climb from the bottom of Catamount to Techie then up Ridgie really is an awesome one.

We hope you've been enjoying Trailforks!
