Steep, rocky, loose ground, tight corners. Put this all together and Cavatappi is made. If you enjoy some proper tech with some great rhythm and flow to it, Cavatappi is the trail for you, definitely not for everyone given the high skill level required.
It was used as Stage 2 EWS in 2016.

Madonna della Guardia is reachable from the E80 highway accessing Finale Ligure, then drive north on the SP490 until the brown sign on your right saying "Santuario di Madonna della Guardia".

 First Part is rideable and in good conditions. Second Part is Hard to Ride. Very loose and Full with leaves and Loose Rocks. Be carefull!

      In my opinion the Cavatappi was one of the best trail in the Finale region. Upper section is still in good condition, lower section is getting worse and worse over the time.
      Hope that there will be the time the Cavatappi will have a revival and some nice guys clear the (lower) trail and do some little repairs on it.
      Until that it will stay a kind of rideable but it is surely not constant fun to ride it from top to bottom.

      Went there yesterday! Very, very nice! Last part to Rialto is closed. There is a connection to the 2nd part of Cacciatore.

      I had seen on heatmap that some people were linking from the bottom of Kill Bill to this trail, and I was curious. It's a washed out rut, steep, but all rideable. There is one tree down. It would not take a lot to rehabilitate this trail. There now is a bridge across the river at the bottom.
