Cliffbrake is a long steady climb to gain access to the other trails in the area. It features several well designed and implemented bridges and boardwalks and is punctuated by several moderately hard rock gardens. At roughly the midpoint, there is an alternate line across several boulders connected by skinny ladder bridges. Near the top, and hiking only trail splits right towards the upper climbing area, while a new section of Cliffbrake continues up to the east side of Rattlesnake Ridge, connecting to Drip Torch and the South Lake Trail System.
