Once you turn onto Lower Kanob from Mountain Boomer, there is a short climb to access the top of a small knob and the first rock garden. Beyond the chunk is some awesome flow with berms, rollers, and optional jumps that will leave you grinning from ear to ear
As you work your way down hill, you'll come to a bridge that spits you right out into the narrowest trail on the preserve. Follow this easier singletrack on a short and easy climb that ends just below the Lower Kanob. As you make your way downhill into a tight right turn, be sure to look back to the north for an amazing view of the summit of Rattlesnake Ridge!
The following downhill is full of big, rollable boulders and chunk that was partly hand-built and partly machine-built, ending in a big tight berm. There is an optional roll line off of a big boulder into the berm if you look closely. Once past the berm, follow the smooth and flowy singletrack across the road and through a tight wash, before you once again go downhill and onto the longest cedar skinny on the preserve (almost 100 ft long), nicknamed Nessie for obvious reasons.
An easy and flowy climb takes you back up to the junction with Mountain Boomer near Tombstone Ridge.
The gate for Rattlesnake Ridge closes at dark automatically. There is also a wet-weather closure system in place, and the preserve periodically closes due to large rain events.
