Connect 3 is a hand-built, unsanctioned trail that connects Highway 299 to the Mary Lake Ditch trail. The tread is quite narrow in some sections with bar-grabbing manzanita and sharp switchbacks. Overall, this is a super fun and convenient "old-school" style connector trail. During wet periods, the drainage crossing can get a bit mucky. Be careful crossing Highway 299 at the bottom of Connect 3, highway traffic is moving fast through a curve at the trail intersection.
