Dirt Frog was originally called "Steps of Hell" and was rated a Black Diamond until the logging company came through and smoothed out the trail. This got rid of the steps and subsequently changed the rating to a Blue. There are still many logs, roots, and twigs in the trail but they're all possible to ride over. Later on in the trial, it becomes steeper and has one switchback until it meets up with Outpost.
