Eagle's Trace at Lake Salinda is a fast and flowy single track trail that loops around Lake Salinda in Salem, IN. Start at the boat dock, and start onto the Veterans walking trail for about 50 feet, then Eagle's Trace splits off to the left as you head up a quick punchy climb. You will go through a some of our fun features right away as you hit switchbacks, log skinnys, creek crossings and rock gardens. You will go through a series of short climbs and descents as you approach the beautiful cedar bridge that was built by the builders Jared Kearschner and Jonathan Spaulding. After crossing the bridge you will head into a fun flowy section that has some poppy jumps and natural rollers. Continue on the trail and eventually you will come to the old gun range off of Martinsburg Rd. Head toward the road through the open grass field. Hop on Martinsburg Rd and go to the right up the hill to the next trail head (YOU CAN'T MISS IT). Hop on the trail and get ready for some of the views of Eagle's Trace as you flow down the ridge that overlooks a small creek. You will eventually start you ascent back up the hill as you see some of our nice berms and bench cut trails. You will go through some flow as you come down to a firepit (DO NOT USE). The trail continues around the corner right along the lake. There will be some ravine crossings that have been filled with flat rock and you will eventually make it to the marshland. Find your way through the grass and you will come to some of the faster riding on the trail. You will go through a series of switchbacks and berm filled corners as you make your way down the south side of Eagle's Trace. YOU ARE ADJACENT TO PRIVATE PROPERTY - STAY ON THE TRAIL. As you exit the trail on the southwest side of the lake, you can turn around and hit the trail in counter clockwise direction as the trail flow very well in both directions, or you can hop on the highway and take the road all the way back to the boat dock. If the spillway is dry, be sure to play around on it with some trials style riding. You have now completed Eagle's Trace Trail at Lake Salinda

This is one of my favorite trails in the Louisville area! Definitely worth a drive to check out. It is very rideable in both directions with great flow sections. It is a good mix of flow with some technical parts still present while still being rideable for all riders. The people who take care of it are constantly adding features to the trail so it will only continue to get better. It needs more love from riders for sure because it is a great spot!
