A hamongog is a "Mountain Meadow", and this trail effectively starts at the first hamongog and ends at the second hamongog. The trail forks right in the middle of the meadow from the North Mountain Trail. This is a difficult hike, and traverse deep through the trees. At the Second Hamongog you can choose to go right which will take you up to Lake Hardy, which is a little lake deep in the upper rock, or head left to Jacobs Ladder
