At the northern end where it splits off of Monument Road this trail is a wide, decomposing asphalt path. It evolves to a dirt road as it proceeds west and south. As it parallels the beach it climbs toward the border fence. Just before it reaches the fence a narrow, unmaintained trail climbs up to the park to the east.
