Steep and rocky, but with rewarding views.
Starts off with a small river crossing.
It is mostly rideable as an ascent on a mountain bike if you are a strong climber, but the rocks do make it tough going
That little downhill section is freakishly steep, like around 30%. It's a good warmup if you are going to descend down FS 8599.

Accessed from the south via Sheep Camp Road. This road can be used to link FS 8600 with BLM-4.
