GnarREI is a more difficult optional trail that parallels the easier Quail Loop. It was built in part by local REI employees hence the name. It goes through a boulder field then a few difficult climbs that will bring you to a couple of gravity cavities which will eventually bring you out to rejoin the Quail Loop.
