This traditional Forest Service trail, originally a logging grade, offers an excellent experience for both riding and hiking. It a smooth double track for most of its length and provides access to Marlinton or the Greenbrier River Trail from the Allegheny Trail. It is ideally enjoyed as a loop with Marlin Run and the Greenbrier River Trail. For a longer excursion, one can ascend the trail to reach the ALT and enjoy the 1.5-mile downhill on either the ALT or the Marlin Mountain Trail down to WV Route 39.
