Coming from Podunk, Hall Mountain is a bit of a lung-busting climb, but if you take it slow it's not really that bad. Mostly doubletrack that can be rocky at times, you peak and head downhill before Ferret. Once you meet up with Ferret, I recommend just taking Ferret, as the Hall Mountain trail is not kept up very well, and is not all that fun. But if you want a little adventurous log climbing then by all means...

Steep and wet. Lots of big puddles and deep mud and some blowdowns. Junctions are not marked and very confusing. This area appears not to be maintained at all.

Fairly boring wide road climb and descent with no views. Flies in July were insane. Wouldn't recommend.
