trailrun Ice sheets on trail for lower half. Spikes necessary. Deep snow upper half. Very narrow packed trail surface. Post holing to either side of trail. No trees down on trail. Icyview

trailrun The bottom is very icy, traction spikes highly recommended. The upper two thirds or so is all snow getting deeper higher up. There's one medium size tree down about half way up. It's about 6-7 inches in diameter and could be easily cleared with a hand saw. Snow Coveredview

trailrun The Smokejumper trail was mostly dirt for about 3/4 of a mile, then a pretty good mix of ice and dirt for about 1/2 mile. The remainder of the climb to the saddle was mostly ice and packed snow. Still need ice joggers or traction devices, but it's totally passable. The downed trees from last year have been cleared away.
