Land ManagerUS Forest Service
Steep trail that climbs to a scenic overlook atop High Dome Mountain and a natural grass meadow (the dome) with views of the surrounding peaks and the Pacific Ocean. Ruins of a former fire lookout platform remain. Trail continues past the lookout to the upper trailhead. The area is mostly mixed forest. Trail surface is mostly dirt with some rocky areas. This trail climbs almost 2000 feet in just over 2 miles but is mostly rideable. Creek crossing at the beginning of the trail must be walked, so come prepared for some wetness.
Access Info
Take Highway 199 to Patrick Creek Road to County Road 315. Trailhead is just past the intersection with the Old Gasquet Toll road.
