Hobbit 3 has a little flow on the East side and a little loose fast on the West side (depending on which direction you roll). The Eastern portion was recently rerouted by Boulder Mountainbike Alliance according to the USFS Magnolia Trails Plan to eliminate a significantly eroded fall line section and to better align with the intersection of Hobbit 2. No matter which direction you enter the trail you will have a small climb to the top and intersection of Roots and Rocks. The trail is intermediate at most and is a great part of many connections to other trails in the Mag area.
