The Huckleberry Bay loop follows the shoreline of the Payette Lake around much of the peninsula that makes up Ponderosa State Park. The trail winds through the forest of Ponderosa Pine, Douglas Fir, and other trees before climbing up to the highest point on the peninsula near Osprey Point, and then dropping back down to the shoreline.
